Resting easy at bike traffic light & turning right on red.

Tourists rolled into frame from the pavement, passed the traffic light (no biggie), but still too scared or oblivious to use the bike lane, plus blocking the other bike lane…what MORE does a city need to do to make it easy? Ten seconds later I saw the bloke crossing at the exact time that the cars started pulling up, and he quickly had to jump back. *Sigh*.

    Thanks! I’m shooting stills with my video camera, still saving up for a proper one, hopefully soon giving Amsterdam biking a better depiction.

    Envy is once thing, but for what it’s worth, I’d love to be a renegade for a day again, which I felt like when I lived in NYC in 1992/93. :)

    There are more bakfietsen parked outside that one playground than I’ve seen in Cambridge in the last 3 years.
