Bicycles & Art [Update]
Categories: amsterdamize

I love bicycles and creating videos (quite redundant, I know). Two passions that merged, one personal, the other partly professional. It’s also no secret I’m keeping track of what other people do, creatively, and will post about that whenever I can, because you just gotta share the love.

What follows is a post from my good buddy and former partner in crime Gabemac (who’s now the host of Mobuzz TV in Madrid):
—————————————————————————————————————–

When I was back in Amsterdam I gave a Video Blogging Masterclass at the Machouse to a group of young video blog enthusiats. The class was put together by the TF, Theater Festival for the Netherlands and Vlaanderen and the Fringe Festival. This week they have an annual Theater Festival in Amsterdam and the students from the Masterclass are making all kinds of videos and posting them on the TF Vlog Site. I love seeing people start to Video Blog for the first time. The smiles and the joy of creation and worldwide publication is a real thrill when they do it. I really hope that they keep it up. In any case check out the site and the vlogs.

Here is the first one from the class:

[Update] Here’s another from TF Vlog I’m sure you’ll appreciate, ‘Amsterdam by bike’:

—————————————————————————————————————–
My title for the first video: “Ride/Walk/Ride/Talk/Play/Right”. IMHO, it has one of the best and most fun camera angles you can use on a bike.

Remember, go to my designated hub ‘Amsterdamize Bicycle TV’ to watch these and all other cycle videos!

Beer seems to be a common theme in your posts Marc.

Love the integration of theh music with reality at the end.

  2. Amsterdamize Says:

not at all, Les, not at all! :-p

Yeah, the students did well, very good use of material. Again, I particularly love the skillful(!) inserts of the bike scenes, really intimate and cute. Very Dutch.

  3. Karl OnSea Says:

    *Big Smile* at this vid!

btw - the funny dance that the beer glass did in its own puddle is called a ‘Sketty’ - as coined by Douglas Adams.

  4. Amsterdamize Says:

I knew you would be one of a few vlog connaisseurs that would respond well to this, Karl :-p

A Sketty, too funny, gonna read up on The Meaning of Liff, thanks!

  5. Gabemac Says:

Thanks for posting this, Marc. I knew you would like the bike vids. ;-)

  6. Amsterdamize Says:

not so bad, this vlogging thing, after all, huh? :)

  7. gabemac Says:
