You know, those moments when you can really concentrate on important stuff.
It’s one of those things that Dutch cyclists do all the time which initially looked very dangerous to me, as a cyclist used to riding on the streets of the UK with the always present and abundant danger of doing so, and the potential for hassle from other road users.
Here it’s safe enough to talk as you cycle. Parents even prepare their children for it by passing them ice-creams as they get on their bikes…
These days I join in. Dutch cyclists are the safest in the world despite all these things they do to distract their attention while they ride, which would be more dangerous in a different context.
