Today I mentally closed the Summer of 2008 chapter. It has certainly been interesting. A new blog, a new bike, new friends, new connections, park rides and picnics, errands, going out, bike interviews, weekend in Paris, Cycle Chic 24/7, trips, parties, just stepping out, and everything else that involves my trusted 2 wheeled friend.

Just an Amsterdam native who won't take his city and its cycling extravaganza for granted anymore, thinking these posts might be clues to others, inspiration perhaps, if you will...

Because a new chapter is being laid out. It kicks off in Budapest, Hungary, starting Friday. See ya on the flip side.
T-I-L-T! I fell like Johnny Mnemonic or Henry Dorsett Case. Too. Much. Data. Totally Mind. Blowing.
What was the frame rate on the slide show? It seems incredible that the human eye can pick out images at that speed - whatever it was - and make the “Oh, I remember that post” connection. Actually it was all rather cool and beautiful.

Glad we got to meet when we did. Hopefully soon in Seattle.
Likewise, Byron, and hope so, too. A coast-to-coast Canada trip is on the table, little Portland/Seattle diversion is certainly an option.

Budapest is a good place to have fun, wander round, excellent restaurants and bars, great views of the Danube and a wonderful skyline. Wander along Andrassy ut and you’ll think you’re back in Paris - just further back in time….you might even shoot some video…:-)
lol, you think? All the reasons why we picked Budapest, it’s gonna be a hoot.
We’ll be screening our antics live through Flashmeeting on Saturday evening, 25 people max. I’ll send you the link, hopefully there’s a spot left for you to take a peek…at geeks at work ;-p

Looking forward to Budapest. Amsterdamize the world! (and ok, Mikael, Copenhagenize it).
Beautiful day here - 24c - but will turn a bit more seasonal tomorrow. So happy to have seen one of your cargo bike friend’s bright red-orange working bikes, parked outside Canadian Tire (a hardware, general goods and, er… tire store). The ownwer was inside and I couldn’t wait for him or her to emerge, but other cyclists were admiring it. Incredibly solid loading platforms fore and aft (and I don’t mean the triporteur (bakfiets), just a very strong working bicycle).
Hope you have a great time in beautiful Budapest. After Paris, Mitteleuropa!
