Just been checking out this site and it is great – I live and cycle in London, how I wish it was like Amsterdam, I'm off to Amsterdam next Monday for a short visit – I want to go to Workcycles, I love the Fr8, and plan to do some cycling, if not toooo cold, great city to have the bike embedded into life like that, I wish London could be the same.

Hi didnt get to go to Workcycles but took a cycle tour – fantastic – was on Tuesday afternoon and the sun came out. Was great cycling around Amsterdam, so fluid and relaxing, a complete opposite to London! You are lucky to live and cycle there.

too bad you couldn't go to Workcycles, but great to hear about your experience, portugeezer. I do feel lucky, don't take it for granted, hence this blog :)

I always say, if you can walk in this weather, you can certainly cycle. :)

next year amsterdam for sure on my european travels!! – you have no idea how jealous i am of all your cycling stuff which you probably don't even notice – i'm in the district court next week appealing my criminal conviction for riding a bicycle without a helmet – i am representing myself (i've finally finished law and have been admitted!!!) but i don't like my chances – however i am utterly committed to this quest of seeing australia repeal mandatory helmet laws, and no matter what the result i will continue (with the quest and cycling without a helmet!!!!)

Good luck with your appeal. Those of us who love cycling and believe in the responsible use of freedom pray that the ignorance of those who rule us may be overcome. They just don't get it. (Wish they could get in fact-finding visits to Amsterdam and Copenhagen). In the meantime let's all stay normal, ordinary and human.

Hey buddy —- H & I are fine. Just returned from 12 days of skiing in the Rockies. I saw the speed skating stuff – bummer. That Sven fellow is an animal….. awesome!

Re ice hockey – we will prevail over our cousins to the south!
