What can I say, really. We traveled to Munich for ein paar Bier und Spaß and...oh, who are we kidding, Oktoberfest Wiesn was absolutely fantastic. Just our luck, it was the 200th anniversary of one of the world's biggest excuses to let it all hang out. Of course, like in any civilized society, many people in Munich get around on bikes. We felt right at home. Lauren's Nikon in one hand and my iPhone in the other, we went around town and the Wiesn grounds on Thursday, as a warm-up for the big day on Friday, you know, just easing into it. I think we did it the right way... Just enjoying our walk into town, to the daily market and center squares...
Spot the Amsterdammer :). A few beers in Hofbräuhaus:And then checking out Wiesn itself, riding along with some Wiesnettes...to the biggest fair I've ever seen in my life.
Bathroom pit stop in a small tent...
Let's just say Thursday took longer to finish than anticipated. Friday brunch...
An impromptu Pedersen bike ride...Off to claim our spots at Wiesn 2010...
but not before hitting the traditional Historischen Oktoberfest, where we gave this peculiar bicycle race arena a run for its money:
Getting closer to our Garden of Eden...
Yup, we're there and not leaving...

See you in 2011, Munich!
