6 O’ Clock Rush

I had some time to kill, walked around the neighborhood, moved closer to the edge and finally positioned myself along the arterial bi-directional bicycle path in front of Central Station and clicked away for about 20 minutes.

As always, I wasn’t just an outsider (on foot) or a perceived tourist, but I quickly became part of that stream of consciousness. Interactions usually occur when you create pleasant circumstances where people can see eye to eye.

Hi Mark, what a wonderful set of photographs, after riding in the Netherlands for two weeks and then returning to Melbourne you are keeping our great memories alive. Our six o’clock rush is a group of people sitting frustrated and bored, gridlocked in their cars.
I love the trike with the baby on board! Keep up the great work.

The trike is a Taga, but apparently it was taken out of production recently. Thus a rare thing to see, but I mainly liked the fact that the woman was responding so well to my voyeurism ;).

Mark, nice photos; thanks for sharing. I like “Dinking Love”. The phot with Strada has three great objects: nice girl; nice streetcar; wacky bike. And how about the big dog getting a ride? What’s going on there? Shouldn’t the dog pull the bike?
